Young Artist Initiative Presents Miami’s Collective of Young Artists at SLS
Miami Beach, FL – July 15, 2016 – Young Artist Initiative (YAI), Miami’s newest artist driven concept, partnered with the SLS South Beach for Swim Week 2016. YAI welcomed over 1,500 for a new experience featuring up and coming swimwear brands and an incredible lineup of musicians, live performances, installments, exhibitions, and more! YAI carefully selected “The Human Figure”, as the conceptual base for live arts and activations. The Human Figure, in all of its extensions, has been a topic of conversation in art from the date of its conception. Throughout our many civilizations, it has consistently carried with it perceptions, taboos and stigmas varying from culture to culture. The subject has manifested itself as an iconic dilemma in our current zeitgeist, arousing controversy across various creative industries due to the manipulation and distortion of both the male and female bodies. Guested enjoyed and pondered the reflection of Miami’s up and coming designers and artists in the heart of Swim Week 2016 at the SLS South Beach. Young Artist Initiative would like to thank their partners Klangbox.FM, Master & Dynamics, K2 Models, and Oliver Gal Artist Co for supporting Miami’s Collective of Young Artists.
