Miami, FL – May 12, 2016 – Del Toro launched their Spring/ Summer 2016 Collection with a blow out party at their Wynwood boutique. This season, Del Toro continues on their journey around the world and takes a ‘Voyage to Africa’ inspired by tribal cultures throughout Africa. The SS16 collection notes inspiration of color, beading and texture from different African nations from East to West Africa. “Consistent with our world traveler theme, we go to Africa this season on a safari voyage. We are highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Africa using Mali Indigo, Ashanti Kente from Ghana, along with beading and jewelry designs from Kenya. The diverse offerings of giraffe pony hair, laser crocodile leathers and ethnic Indigos showcase beauty and eccentricity on a new level. We always strive to develop unique and beautiful products,” says Del Toro’s Creative Director and CEO, Matthew Chevallard, of the ‘Voyage to Africa’ collection. A portion of the SS16 collection proceeds will be donated to the 14 plus Foundation to develop, build and operate schools and orphanages in rural African communities.
