Miami, FL – November 18, 2014 – Enhancing the global influence and artistic flair of the Wynwood District, rug designer Jan Kath has finally launched a mono brand Miami showroom together with Jacques Miodownik of Rug Revolution. Last Tuesday, guests made their way to the showroom to commemorate the Grand Opening where they were able to browse the incredible pieces while enjoying delicious cocktails and light bites. DJ Mauricio Parra was on hand making sure to keep the energy high with an upbeat set. One of the world’s most in-demand designers of hand-knotted rugs, Kath creates carpets for private residences, corporate headquarters, boutique hotels, and luxury fashion brands. He purposefully breaks with conventional styles and throws strict design rules over-board while combining classic elements from oriental carpets with contemporary, minimalist design, crafting rugs that are recognized works of art and are exhibited in art and design museums around the world.
