Miami Beach, FL – November 21, 2014 – A little spice was just added to the South Beach area as Thompson Miami Beach celebrated it’s grand reveal on Friday morning with a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony. Following the ceremony, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau President & CEO William Talbert welcomed Miami’s first Thompson hotel to the community with a few remarks. Guests couldn’t help but enjoy the feel of the new hotspot as sounds from a live Cuban band and some classic cars had everyone feeling like they stepped into the 1950’s. Later in the morning, the hotel’s culinary partner and celebrated chef, Michelle Bernstein, hosted a light breakfast in her new Floridian brasserie, Seagrape. Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s President & CEO Jerry Libbin, Vice Mayor Joy Malakoff, and Commissioner Deede Weithorn were also on hand for the community celebration. Other Thompson Miami Beach collaborators who joined the celebration include Miami’s own revered landscape architect Raymond Jungles, Wynwood’s Junior & Hatter master stylists Andrea Battista and Mario Silvestri, and nightlife impresarios Karim Masri and Nicola Siervo of KNR Hospitality Group.
