Miami Beach, FL – June 2, 2014 – More than 200 Miami socialites came out to celebrate some good ole’ fried eats on Monday night as Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach and Yardbird Southern Table & Bar hosted a summer kick-off soiree celebrating Lee Schrager’s new cookbook Fried & True: More than 50 Recipes for America’s Best Fried Chicken and Sides. Taking place at the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach, the South Beach Food & Wine Festival icon got the evening started by discussing his inspiration for Fried & True, even mentioning the extraordinary recipe range from Classic Southern Fried Chick to Asian-Inspired Dishes. Throughout the night guests mingled and munched on Yardbird’s signature Shrimp & Grits, Mama’s Chicken Biscuits and scrumptious Bacon-Butterscotch Cake as they toured the modernist-designed sales gallery, which features a high-tech media wall, including holograms, an interactive presentation, and dioramas of the project as well as a screening room which features a short film about The Residences. The evening concluded with one-on-one meet and greets with Schrager, during which guests received a personalized signed copy of his cookbook.
