Wynton Marsalis

Miami Beach, FL – December 20, 2013 – On Friday the Arsht Center took the time to celebrate the recent HBO Family documentary, Wynton Marsalis: A YoungArts Masterclass. The series features talented high-school students selected by the National YoungArts Foundation who received the chance to be mentored by some of the world’s greatest artists, and in the season debut the young virtuosos prepare to perform alongside Wynton Marsalis during a performance at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Marsalis gave a moving performance in front of an intimate crowd at the Arsht Center and spent some time answering some questions from the the young audience.
