Miami Beach, FL – December 8, 2013 – Fabian Basabe, Erin Newberg, Anthony Spinello and Alegria Beracasa hosted a brunch with Lacoste to celebrate the finished piece entitled “Rockodile.” The site-specific art installation from Lacoste and Details creative innovator Mark A. Reigelman II was built over the course of December 5 through December 8. The work, which draws inspiration from the curious diet of American crocodiles, consists of more than 5,500 black rocks suspended in the shop’s window. Each rock is made of 100 percent post-consumer materials (think DVDs and DVD cases shredded and cast into stone form). At night, the rocks radiant a fantastic phosphorescent green hue.
