July 18, 2011 – Miami Beach, FL – TARA, Ink. was asked by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2012 organizers to host the closing runway show at the Cabana Grande tent, and did they deliver ! The event, held Monday night, July 18, 2011, featured designers ZINGARA, JOGO BEACH, TAVIK Swimwear and Perfect Tan Bikini debuting their spring/summer 2012 collections to a packed house of media, buyers and VIPs. Chez Badeaux Salon of Miami Beach created beach-sexy hair and flirty makeup looks complementing each designer’s collection. The models showcasing both Tavik Swimwear and Perfect Tan Bikini collections rocked Carlos by Carlos Santana footwear.

ZINGARA kicked off the show with their signature bold, bohemian-chic “sprezzatura” designs influenced by tropical living and favored by pampered, sun-kissed bodies the world over. Designer sisters Jeannine and Nathalie Azoubel rendered their signature suits and coordinating sheer beach dresses in kaleidoscopic prints that included feathers, paisley, mosaic tiles and florals.

JOGO BEACH, a beach lifestyle collection and part of the JOGO by Pooneh brand from designer Pooneh Mohazzabi, presented sleek bikinis with matching cover-ups in striking solid hues of emerald, vermilion, salmon, polar white and toffee; coordinating sarongs, sandals, beach bags, hats and bangles completed the sophisticated Rio beach vibe.

West Coast-based brand TAVIK Swimwear and designer Nicole Hanriot embody the California beach-babe lifestyle with a fun, festive edge and daring sense of style. TAVIK Swimwear featured some of the best neon hues of the season, along with geometric and animal prints. The collection introduced strapless underwire push-up tops, tie-sides, hot shorts and bandeau tops.

Perfect Tan Bikini, a recently launched brand that puts an innovative spin on the 60-year-old institution, features swimwear that bathing beauties can turn golden in without annoying tan lines. Designer Claudia Cardenas and president Richard Reisman showed their “perfect” tanning bikinis in an array of metallic, animal and exotic prints, in flirty silhouettes and stay-put strapless bikini tops that are as functional as they are fashionable.
