Miami Beach, FL – February 26, 2011 – If you have ever (vicariously, of course) sweated and suffered along with the contestants on Food Network’s popular Chopped, then you’ve probably wondered how you might fare in the difficult challenge of preparing, in record time, a three-course meal from ingredients that seemingly should never share the same plate. Tofu, blueberries, and oysters? Jumbo shrimp, pepperoni, and cereal? Well today cooking participants had the chance to compete in a fun and friendly competition to shoot for bragging rights in a culinary showdown unlike any other. Chopped host Ted Allen and three of the program’s toughest judges—accomplished chefs Marc Murphy, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Aarón Sánchez— were on hand to help in a group-dinner version of the show.
