Winter Solstice Eclipse
Miami Beach, FL – December 21, 2010 – Its amazing to experience anything that you know will only occur once in your lifetime – especially a total eclipse of the moon from my backyard. In the crystal clear Miami sky, the moon could not be more perfectly visible and I can’t take my eyes off of it. On this, what is supposed to be the longest night of the year, it will make for a very dark day as the moon will spend the whole night in passing through the earths shadow. This hasn’t happened in 372 years and wont occur again until 2094. The moon seems perfectly placed in the sky for me to shoot, so I just had to stay up till 3:25am to catch as much of it as possible.
