Stitch Lab Pop-Up at The M Building
Miami, FL – April 26th, 2019 – This past weekend, Miami-based talent incubator, Stitch Lab, hosted their second annual pop-up showcasing more than 30 designers from Latin America – accessories, clothing, swimwear, resort wear – from countries like Colombia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and more. This year’s theme was “Oasis, A Fashion Utopia,” a Palm Springs meets Morocco vibe, bringing to life the designers’ unique pieces at Wynwood’s The M Building. “Miami is in the midst of massive growth, gaining wide attention from the global market in terms of art and fashion, so our newest pop-up has been designed specifically to target a larger audience this time around. I believe that Stitch Lab is part of a new entrepreneurial economy and we are aiming to be active participants locally while projecting ourselves globally,” Karina Rosendo, Brand Founder & CEO of Stitch Lab.
Earlier this year, Stitch Lab announced their celebrity ambassador, Venezuelan renowned TV Host, Chiquinquira Delgado. Chiquinquira carries a huge passion for Latin American fashion and has made it her mission to bring awareness to these hidden talents. “I think it’s a unique opportunity to support great talent in Latin America—great people who otherwise wouldn’t have a platform,” she told HOLA! USA. “Knowledge of these designers has an impact on everything,” she explained. “In creating jobs, exporting talent and also giving visibility, so large corporations can discover these designers and invest and help them grow.” Also joining the team, Stitch Lab announced their new Fashion Director, Cami Straschnoy, who serves as a treasure hunter, curating this year’s lineup of 36 designers. With Camila’s fashion expertise, Chiquinquira’s desire to support hidden talents, and Karina’s production skills – together they brought an experiential shopping experience that for once catered to Miami’s diverse Latin community.
