Miami, FL – April 26, 2019 – Close to 200 of the community’s leading philanthropists, collectors, gallerist, artists and art aficionados attended the Lowe’s Evening of Art to celebrate Miami’s first art museum. Welcomed by an elaborate floral arrangement, attendees enjoyed gourmet delights, craft cocktails, and caviar from an ice bar, plus live music by Simon Salz. The event featured the second edition of the Palette Project, featuring works by nearly three dozen notable artists from Miami and New York. Highlights from the evening included a presentation honoring the Lowe’s Inaugural Community Campion Awardee Mitchell Kaplan, owner of Books & Books and co-founder of the Miami Book Fair International. All proceeds from the Evening of Art directly support the museum’s education and exhibition programming.
