Miami Beach, FL – April 21, 2019 – The Miami Beach EDITION’s third annual Earth Day event celebrated mother Earth this past Sunday in a joint Earth Day, Easter and Passover celebration. The event featured fun and environmentally-conscious activities for the whole family. The day-long event benefited Surfrider Foundation’s Miami Chapter with a Beach cleanup, all proceeds benefiting the organization. Guests also enjoyed various poolside activations at Tropicale including: eco-friendly arts and crafts on the lawn by Organic Kids, a Sustainable Vendors Bazaar featuring package free Verde Market, Samba Sol, Do Terra Essential Oils, refreshing snow cones and a ‘Minute with Mother Nature’ video booth where guests shared what Earth Day means to them and how they are contributing to the movement. Additionally, an inspiring panel discussion focusing on tools on how to live a conscious and sustainable lifestyle moderated by Cecile Raubenheimer took place with panelists Pam Barrera, Co- Owner of Verde, Underwater Cinematographer and Whale Conservationist, Laurence Curtis, Betsy Wheaton, Environment & Sustainability Director, City of Miami Beach and Seth Bloomgarden, Vice Chair of the Surfrider Foundation.

The Miami Beach EDITION incorporates sustainability practices wherever possible, this can be seen through the hotel’s Stay Plastic Free initiative, which has eliminated all single-use plastics.
