Miami Beach, FL – March 31, 2019 – The museum’s Executive Director, Susan Gladstone, welcomed some of South Florida’s leading philanthropists and cultural influencers to an exclusive VIP luncheon honoring Colleen and Richard Fain, whose spectacular collection of one-of-a kind, handcrafted historic groggers (noisemakers for Purim) is showcased beautifully in the new exhibition “The Art of Noise.” The 52 groggers on view were collected by the couple for over 20 years from around the world and are being shown publicly for the very first time, right here in Miami Beach. The noisemakers are each a work of art, reflecting different time periods, regions and cultures. Guests included: FIU President Mark Rosenberg, Ira Giller, Kenneth Bloom, Daniel Weiss, Pauline Winick, Sandra Seligman, Gary Wasserman, Rhoda Levitt, Dick & Susan Lampen, Richard Brilliant, Russell Galbut, Neil Dern, Morris Levitt, Reed Kroloff and Tudor Parfitt.
