A Conversation with Smithsonian Scholars at Frost Science
Miami, FL – March 18, 2019 – The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami’s Maurice A. Ferré Park hosted a special members-only lecture in the Frost Planetarium. The lecture, A Conversation with Smithsonian Scholars, featured Dr. Charles Alcock, Director of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and Frost Science Trustee Dr. Richard Kurin, Smithsonian Distinguished Scholar and Ambassador-at-Large. The two scholars discussed the conditions that allowed life to proliferate on Earth, and how research at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics is fueling the search for other life in the Universe. Following the lecture, Frost Science hosted a number of donors and board members for an intimate three-course dinner underneath the museum’s iconic Gulf Stream Aquarium Oculus.
