Taste of Puerto Rico Hosted by José Andrés at SLS South Beach
Miami Beach, FL – February 21, 2019 – It’s no secret that 2018 TIME’s 100 List honoree and global social justice advocate, ThinkFoodGroup owner José Andrés, is dedicated to perpetuating the storied culture of Puerto Rico. This year, the James Beard Award-winning chef, 2017 SOBEWFF® Tribute Dinner Honoree and author of We Fed an Island: The True Story of Rebuilding Puerto Rico, One Meal at a Time (HarperCollins , September 2018) hosted a dozen chefs originally hailing from Puerto Rico to serve up their signature homeland cuisine at the boutique luxury SLS South Beach. Andrés brings his commitment to the Magic City to share a taste of mofongo, bacalaito, tostones, lechón, and more that he has experienced on the island of enchantment. Guests tasted their way through the streets of San Juan while sipping on wines from the González Byass USA portfolio and specialty cocktails from Jim Beam that complement this Puerto Rican-inspired soirée.
