Miami Beach, FL – February 10, 2019 – Writer, curator and activist Kimberly Drew (a.k.a. @museummammy), New York Times Op-Ed columnist Charles Blow and host Tom Healy held a conversation at The Bass around the topic, Seen and Heard: The Elements of Style in Art and Politics. The panelists discussed notions around being visible and having a voice, noting how both are indispensable in making a difference, having influence and creating change. Moderated by writer and activist Tom Healy, the curated conversations are centered around a universal question – what is really worth our time to look at, listen to, touch, taste or talk about? The series aims to bring together unexpected pairings of artists, engineers, musicians, writers, chefs, gamers, political activists, art curators, athletes and others who influence the way we look at and experience the world. Curator Culture is presented thanks to a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as part of its Knight Arts Challenge.
