Bal Harbour Shops Hosts 2nd Annual “Ice Cream We Love”

Bal Harbour, FL – January 12-13, 2019 – 1200 guests were in attendance during the 2nd annual Bal Harbour Shops “Ice Cream We Love” event in support of Holtz Children’s Hospital at University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Medical Center. The over-the-top ice cream festival featured a curated selection of ice cream pop-up booths representing more than 18 vendors including renowned national brands such as New York’s Ample Hills Creamery, Izzy’s Ice Cream from Minnesota, and DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections. Local artisanal ice cream producers including Bianco Gelato; Brain Freeze Nitrogen Ice Cream & Yogurt Lab; Cielito Artisan Pops; Dasher & Crank; Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlor; Jeremiah’s Italian Ice; Le Sirenuse Miami; Le Zoo; Mr. Kream; Proper Ice Cream; and Wynwood Parlor to name a few, were all in participation as well as boutique confection bakery Sweet Guilt. The weekend-long event celebrates the legacy of Bal Harbour Shops founder Stanley Whitman who was a longstanding supporter of Holtz Children’s Hospital and lover of ice cream, and all proceeds from ticket sales benefitted Holtz Children’s Hospital, supporting its mission to enhance and expand its pediatric specialty programs.
