FUNKSHION Hosts Awards & Faith Connexion Fashion Show at The Setai
Miami Beach, FL – November 8, 2018 – Funkshion hosted a beautiful evening started with the panel talk focused on The Importance of Sustainable Fashion at the Soho Beach House moderated by journalist and visual story-teller Danié Gómez-Ortigoza of Journey of a Braid. Discussion was with Patrick Duffy, Founder of Global Fashion Exchange, Daniele D’orazi from Istituto Marangoni, Elizabeth Wheaton, Environment & Substantiality Director at City of Miami Beach, Veronica Pesantes co-founder of The Onikas, and Sophie Zembra Founder of Antidote. Later in the evening Fashion Group International hosted its annual award ceremony at The Setai along with the runway show of international brand, Faith Connexion. Maria Buccellati was honored with Designer of The Year award, Soledad Lowe received the Accessory Design Award for her brand Soledad Lowe Jewelry, and MINI, SETAI, Goya Foods and Brickell Magazine for their support and dedication to growing fashion industry in South Florida. In 2018 MINI has been a lead partner for three main fashion platforms in South Florida dedicated to swimwear and activewear industry and sustainable development in fashion. MINI supported Funkshion throughout the year not only in developing and growing the fashion niche industries but also in raising the awareness on troubled topics in fashion and educating through programs they created together.
