NSU Art Museum Chairman’s Gala Highlights Museum’s 60th Anniversary Year

Fort Lauderdale, FL – October 19, 2018 – NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale held its Chairman’s Gala. The spectacular evening was a highlight of the Museum’s 60th anniversary year and celebrated the opening of its highly anticipated exhibition William J. Glackens and Pierre-Auguste Renoir: Affinities and Distinctions. Thanks to the sponsorship of art collector S. Donald Sussman and Michelle Howland, all proceeds from the Gala support the museum’s education and exhibition programs. The event took place at the home of Gala Chairs S. Donald Sussman and Michelle Howland, who graciously served as the evening’s hosts. Honorary Chairs of the Gala were Mike and Alice Jackson. Presenting sponsor of NSU Art Museum’s 60 th anniversary is AutoNation. The Chairman’s Gala honored the 20 men and women who have chaired the Museum’s board from its founding in 1958 to the present. Honorees were acknowledged during a special ceremony attended by many second and third generation family members. The elegant evening featured cocktails by Bacardi, wines by Etude, and dinner by Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design that was served against the backdrop of the Intracoastal Waterway.
