Brickell City Centre Hosts Miami Fashion Week’s Opening Runway Show by Oscar Carvallo
Miami, FL – May 30, 2018 – Miami Fashion Week (MIAFW) officially kicked off on Wednesday May 30 at Miami’s newest fashion epicenter, Brickell City Centre. The international fashion community celebrated alongside MIAFW’s famed designers, models and sartorial enthusiasts at Saks Fifth Avenue for the official kick-off toast to the week ahead. The style-studded soirée was followed by the much-anticipated opening runway show that debuted Venezuelan-born designer Oscar Carvallo’s 2019 resort collection. The collection celebrated art, nature and femininity – a stunning contrast to the backdrop of Brickell City Centre’s futuristic architecture. Spotted in the front row of Carvallo’s show was Miami’s fashion elite Martha Graeff, Claudia Vergara and Carolina Lindo decked out in Brickell City Centre’s very own fashion houses Maje, APM Monaco, Pinko and Intermix. MIAFW returns for its third straight year of presenting resort collections from celebrated local and international designers and has been named the second largest fashion week in the United States.
