Arquitectonica Supports Design During YoungArts Miami 2018
Miami, FL – February 21, 2018 – The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) and Design Arts Discipline Partner Arquitectonica presented a master class, reception and critique for 2018 Winners in Design Arts participating in YoungArts Miami, one of the organization’s regional programs offering interdisciplinary workshops, seminars and master classes with renowned leaders in their fields. Arquitectonica curated a curriculum for the day that included mentorship and a design charrette for a temporary community gathering space. While students finalized their projects, YoungArts President and CEO Carolina García Jayaram welcomed invited guests, including Ellie and Bruce Taub, Martin Rozenblum and Harry Hersh, to the reception at the Arquitectonica headquarters in Coconut Grove. Guests then gathered for a performance by YoungArts alumna Alice Kim. Only 20 years, the multidisciplinary musician and visual artist captivated her audience with poetic renditions of pop, neo-soul and jazz. As the reception came to a close, Arquitectonica’s Bernardo Fort-Brescia invited attendees to join the final critique of the student’s work. By opening the program to community leaders, thinkers, design experts and enthusiasts, YoungArts winners gained valuable feedback and practical experience as part of their professional development.
