Q&A: The Cigarette Difference with Skip Braver

Skip Braver, the owner and CEO of Cigarette, continues to push the boundaries to deliver the most notable boats and this year Cigratte exceeded expectations when they unveiled the 515 Project One was unveiled on Thursday, a collaboration between Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing. The Cigarette Racing offshore powerboat is inspired by the Mercedes-AMG Project One, a hypercar that’s derived from Formula 1.The $2 million superboat is 51.5ft long and packs 3,100 total horsepower and should be good for 140mph. It is the fastest and most advanced boat the partnership has ever developed. World Red Eye spoke exclusively with owner Skip Braver, to get a closer about what it means to demonstrate “The Cigarette Difference”.

WRE: How many years has Cigarette been at the Miami International Boat Show?
SB: Cigarette has been at the Miami International Boat Show from the start, Cigarette has never missed a year.
WRE: Cigarette’s display really stood out at the Miami International Boat Show. Can you talk about the production that went behind the display?
SB: An incredible team effort between the MIBS and Eventstar. The design and engineering staff at Eventstar made what other people said was impossible happen.
WRE: South Florida is one of the worlds largest boating destinations. How does Cigarette differentiate from the rest?
SB: Cigarette was born, manufactured, and designed to thrive in the ocean. Cigarette transforms the Miami vibe into every boat.
WRE: Tell us about the craftsmanship of Cigarette?
SB: If you have seen one you have seen only one. Each Cigarette is customized for the owner’s size, color preferences, comfort options, and personalization details, like logos or signatures. WRE: Cigarette recently collaborated with Mercedes-Benz AMG, tell us more about the superboat?
SB: The 515 Project ONE is a revolutionary performance boat that is 51.5 feet long and 9.5 feet wide that runs 140 MPH. It brings engineering innovation together in a way we have never done before.
WRE: What other luxury collaborations have you done in the past?
SB: Cigarette has collaborated with Ducati, Mercury, Garmin, JL Audio, and Mercury Racing.
WRE: How has Cigarette evolved and where do you see it going in the future?
