National YoungArts Week Pop of Culture Reception at New World Center

Miami Beach, FL – January 8, 2018 – Supporters of the National YoungArts Foundation gathered to celebrate the 2018 YoungArts winners with a private reception in the SunTrust Pavilion at the New World Center prior to the Classical, Jazz + Pop Voice performance. The evening kicked off National YoungArts Week, an intensive, weeklong and all-inclusive program where YoungArts Finalists across 10 disciplines participate in master classes and workshops with internationally recognized leaders in their fields and showcase their work for the public. The pre-performance reception was hosted in partnership with YoungArts Legacy Master Series Partner Aon and National YoungArts Week Performance Partner SunTrust. YoungArts President and CEO Carolina García Jayaram and Voice National Selection Panelist La Tanya Hall addressed guests, stressing the importance of supporting young artists at critical junctures in their careers. Notable guests included YoungArts Trustees Sarah Arison, Rich Kohan, Sandra Tamer and Maurice Zarmati, as well as Tom and Betsy Bolton, Claire Breukel, Sam Cargill of Aon, Jack Christian of SunTrust, Jeffrey Davis and Michael Miller, Naomi Fisher, Rachel and Joe Furst, Rose Ellen Greene, Harry Hersh, Blyth Hogan of Aon, Bill Jones and Rey Hernandez, Giselle Kovac, Susan Kronick, Jose Mendez of SunTrust, and Ariel Penzer and Jeremy Milgroom.
