The Bass Ball 2017

Miami, FL – December 16, 2017 – More than 200 art patrons, artists, cultural influencers and philanthropists attended The Bass Ball, the annual fundraising gala in support of the museum’s education and exhibition programs. Guests enjoyed a fashionable evening, presented by CHANEL,including a special performance by Lion Babe. After a dusk-lit cocktail hour in Collins Park, patrons were seated to an elegant meal inside the museum’s newly enclosed Lindemann Family Courtyard and Trudy and Paul Cejas Gallery. Following the dinner, guests celebrated and danced at the official after party with music by DJ Henri. “The Bass Ball is the single largest fundraising event we hold each year in support of this extraordinary institution,” said George Lindemann, President of the Board of Directors of The Bass. “It was very gratifying to see how much support we received for the work and the mission of The Bass. Our donors understand the important role art and culture play in our community, and their generous contributions following our recent reopening will make all the difference as we embark on this exciting new chapter.” The Bass recently reopened on October 29, 2017, following a $12 million renovation to transform the visitor experience and increase programmable space by nearly 50 percent.
