Canvas Collection Pop Up Art Gallery Opening & Panel Discussion
Miami, FL – November 30, 2017 – Miami’s most talented urban artists along with some of the city’s most influential art advocates and experts gathered on Thursday night to celebrate the unveiling of the “Canvas Collection“. An ambitious collaboration involving over twenty global artists to create 200 plus paintings, mixed-media creations, photographs, and murals for the interiors of Canvas, the flagship condominium of Miami’s Arts + Entertainment (A+E) District. Over 200 people packed the CANVAS Pop Up Gallery, which will be open throughout Miami Art Basel, for a first glimpse of the groundbreaking collection and to hear a panel discussion moderated by Miami Herald Visual Arts and Business Editor Jane Wooldridge on the role of urban art in Miami’s transformation. Miami-based artist Daniel “Krave” Fila, curator of the CANVAS Collection, led a Q&A with urban artists Marcos Javier Garcia, Ross Ford, Diana Contreras, Claudio Picasso, Jeremy Nichols, and Gerry Stecca. The event was hosted by NR Investments. The CANVAS Pop Up Gallery, is located at 70 NE 17th Street and will be open select hours during Miami Art Basel.
