Miami, FL – October 19, 2017 -Photographer Amy Gelb unveiled “As Is” at The Sagamore, Miami Beach’s art hotel. The exhibition is her first solo show, showcasing photographic look at the real bodies of everyday women. For the project, Gelb photographed over 150 women of all ages and backgrounds in the nude. The artist’s aim is to show women “as is,” her initial goal for the series was to explore beauty however, a majority of the women photographed in “As Is” are breast cancer survivors. Charitable donations from the event benefited the American Cancer Society and The Women of Tomorrow.
