Miami, FL – September 28, 2017 – The Miami Children’s Young Ambassadors 6th Annual Fashion Gives Back event brought together the best in fashion and philanthropy for an incredible night benefiting the patients and families of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Nearly 400 of Miami’s most fashionable young professionals attended the event, which took place in Miami’s Design District. The Honorary Chair for the event was Farrell & Patel, Attorneys at Law, while Ricky Patel and Zak Mann took on the role of co-chairs. This year’s Fashion Gives Back featured exciting surprises, including a Best Dressed contest judged by Brickellista Files creator, Evelyn Torres, chiropractor and recent winner of The Bachelorette, Bryan Abasolo, celebrity stylist Elysze Held and Miami Modern Luxury Magazine’s resident fashionista, Nirvana Jewell. The highlight of the evening however, was when Nicklaus Children’s patient Izabella came out and walked the runway, two years after her first appearance at Fashion Gives Back when she was in a wheelchair. Izabella was diagnosed with bone cancer when she was 7 years old, and had to go through six months of chemotherapy and a surgery to remove her knee and part of her femur. She also received a prosthesis, which has the capability of being expanded with magnets, allowing her leg to continuing growing at the same rate of her other leg. Thanks to the care she received at Nicklaus Children’s, Izabella is able to walk again, which she proudly showed to all the guests at Fashion Gives Back, while thanking them for their support of the hospital.
