Miami, FL – July 27, 2017 – Miami soccer fans now have a chance to take photos with their favorite players, even if they don’t have coveted tickets to tomorrow’s big El Clásico match. Brickell City Centre (BCC), Miami’s newest shopping and entertainment mecca, partnered with Plant the Future (PTF), Miami’s very own botanical art gallery and nature-inspired design firm, to bring a first-of-its-kind exhibition of human portraits in moss. The exhibition, titled Portraits of El Clásico, by Paloma Teppa and 2Alas, features select players of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Portraits of El Clásico were unveiled during a private celebratory event at CMX Cinemas hosted by BCC’s developer Swire Properties Inc, Plant the Future and Relevent Sports. Welcome remarks were given by ESPN host Fernando Palomo. To kick off the unveiling, ICC honored Italian soccer legend and tournament ambassador Paolo Maldini, who was presented with a special moss portrait in his likeness. The exhibit will remain on display until Labor Day, September 4, at BCC’s open-air retail center, next to CMX Cinemas on the fourth floor. Portraits of El Clásico is an official event of LaLiga, the International Champions Cup (ICC) and the El Clásico match. The exhibit includes portraits of FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and Andres Iniesta as well as Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo Vieira.
