Rise and Shine

Miami Beach, FL – August 12, 2010 – Cengage Learning, a leading global provider of innovative teaching, learning and research solutions, had its employees participate in the annual Cengage Learning Cares: Rise and Shine Charity Challenge during the company’s national sales meeting taking place this week at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami. Employees donated money to participate in the session of group exercises and calisthenics on the Ocean Lawn at the hotel early this morning. Cengage Learning will be matching employees’ donations and the money raised will be split between two local charities – Community Partnership for Homeless and the Miami chapter of Teach For America. Last year’s event raised over $30,000 for each of these two charities.

This year’s donation checks will be presented to charity representatives the following day at a luncheon at the hotel. Speakers will share details about the impact of the donations and employees will learn more about how the money will be used by the organizations.
