Miami, FL – February 23, 2017 – Alon Shaya, whose namesake Shaya in New Orleans is the reigning Best New Restaurant in the U.S. bestowed by the James Beard Foundation, gathered up a group of hand-picked friends from across the country to host the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s second Kosher event in its history. Shaya and a handful of fellow chefs offered up their most creative barbecue creations at this Kosher seated dinner at Rok Family Shul – Chabad Downtown Jewish Center, which also featured South Florida’s favorite Zak the Baker. The event was Glatt Kosher under the strict supervision of Rabbi Chaim Lipskar of The Shul of Downtown Miami.
