Miami, FL – February 22, 2017 – The National YoungArts Foundation and Design Arts Discipline sponsor Arquitectonica presented a master class, reception and critique for 2017 Design Arts Winners as part of YoungArts Miami, a regional program inspired by the organization’s signature national arts competition. Additional master classes for Winners included mentorship with internationally renowned leaders in their field such as fashion designer Naeem Khan, modern dance choreographer Garth Fagan, theater director Anne Bogart, and poet Roger Bonair-Agard. As the Design Arts Discipline sponsor, Arquitectonica curated a curriculum for the Design Arts Winners that included a practical charrette, reception, and critique at their headquarters in Coconut Grove. By opening the program to community leaders, thinkers, design experts and enthusiasts, YoungArts Winners gained valuable feedback and practical experience for their professional development. Notable attendees included Arquitectonica Principals Bernardo Fort-Brescia and Laurinda Spear, YoungArts COO Jewel Malone, Daniel de la Vega, Vanesa Grout and Cathy Leff.
