Miami, FL – November 28, 2016 – MM6 Maison Margiela, the contemporary women’s line, celebrated the limited edition collection of the iconic Japanese bag with artist Aaron De La Cruz in celebration of Miami Art Basel. These iconic bags come together to form a De La Cruz mosaic and separately stand alone as 60 hand  painted works of art. Monochrome denim is injected with splashes of bleach and further transformed with black acrylic paint in the artist’s graphic mural art prints. Hidden meaning, a philosophy often found in MM6 Maison Margiela collections can also be found within this collaboration – the transparent pocket of each bag containing one square piece of art that is one out of sixty part of a larger Aaron De La Cruz painting. Each piece guests received were hand signed and numbered.
