Miami, FL – November 28, 2016 – Modern Luxury MIAMI magazine celebrated its Art Basel December 2016 Issue at the spectacular new EAST, Miami in the new Brickell City Centre. This kickoff to Art Week was a special evening dedicated to art and music. More than 150 VIPs, collectors, art lovers and music aficionados from around the world were in attendance creating an eclectic and fun mix. Guests were treated to an exhibition of works by Ye Hongxing, whose art graces the cover of MIAMI’s December edition. Additionally, the artist’s gallerist, Lexïng Zhang of Art Lexïng, created a pop-up gallery of additional works for the evening. The night featured a showcase of local performers GMNI spinning beats accompanied by the electric cello, DJ YSL, and a live performance by artist Virgo. A gourmet selection of Asian dishes, specialty cocktails by Russian Standard Vodka and Voga Wines were enjoyed by attendees. The 38th floor event space, most of which features floor-to-ceiling glass walls and spectacular views of Miami, was enhanced with furniture from AFR and beautiful florals by Ines Naftali.
