Miami Beach, FL – December 1, 2011 – Last night, Bing and “The Art of Night” continued to make waves at Art Basel Miami alongside the screening of Limelight at the Shelborne’s beachside taco and tequila bar, Lucy’s Cantina Royale.  The award-winning nightlife documentary chronicles the rise and fall of one of New York’s most iconic clubs, Limelight, and its larger-than-life owner, Peter Gatien. The film was a collaborative work between Gatien’s daughter Jen, who was in attendance with friends, of DeerJen Films and Alfred Spellman & Billy Corben of Miami-based media studio, Rakontur.   Following the screening, Bing celebrated design duo, Bob & Cortney Novogratz, who hosted a St. Tropez-themed dinner to celebrate “The Chair Project” where the designers enlisted ten artists, including Nathan Carter, Jim Drain, Luis Gispert, Josephine Meckseper & Sarah Morris, to reinterpret ten iconic chairs, each presented separately in individual cabanas, creating a row of open galleries along the edge of the Shelborne’s infinity pool.  The night didn’t end there, Bing hosted genre-transcending pianist, ELEW, who performed an hour-long set of jazz, rock and pop, on a custom- created Yamaha piano, specifically tuned to accommodate Miami Beach’s tropical climate. Guests enjoyed speciality cocktails provided by Botran Rum while listening to the signature sounds of DJ Ross One on the turntables to close out the special evening.
