Miami Beach, FL – April 9, 2016 – Miami notables Michael Capponi and Dilay Bayraktar celebrated their birthdays by hosting an evening to benefit Capponi’s foundation, the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) at the prestigious new Island Gardens. The evening was co-hosted by Ivana Trump and well attended by other notables including Lisa Hochstein, Moishe Mana, and GEM Board Members Andres Fanjul and Dr. Jay H. Park. The evening included cocktails under the moon and stars, a formal seated dinner, a silent and live auction and a musical performance by Dilayla. Prior to the Live Auction, former Commissioner Michael Gongora was on stage with Capponi as he had authorized the Miami Beach firefighters to go to Haiti with Michael days after the earthquake. The live auction featured a sculpture by French artist, Richard Orlinski, for $11,500 and two trips to Haiti auctioned off at $6,000. Entrepreneur and Miami notable, Moishe Mana donated $5,000 to sponsor a total of ten children to pay for their school efforts for the year in Haiti. The event raised  over $80,000 for the charity.
