Marco Cimmino: Absent Minded at Rudolf Budja Gallery
Miami Beach, FL – February 27, 2016 – Rudolf Budja Gallery’s Editions space, dedicated to young contemporary artists, presented Marco Cimmino’s solo exhibition, “Absent Minded.” The exhibition includes sixteen works featuring different visions of various topics and inspirations including the issue of meat consuming, with the piece called the “Almighty Lamb,” a wedding story “ The Bride,” human enlightenment with the piece called “ An Alien Birth” and others, all performed by young female models. The women in Marco Cimmino’s work are beautifully real, fearless and proud. They hold and express the male and the female, the sacred and the profane. The classic man’s pose that the ancient Greeks had considered the expression of beauty, coexists with the feminine sensuality of a bride. “A good photograph for me expresses the idea of a movement in time. Infinite numbers of probable future moments trapped in a still frame, a skipping heartbeat in the loop of consciousness,” exclaims Marco Cimmino.
