The Bass Ball & Keep The Ball Rolling After Party
Miami Beach, FL – February 20, 2016 – The Bass Ball, and its after-party keep The Ball rolling, made for an over-the-top celebration in support of the exhibitions and programs of the Bass Museum of Art. The black-tie affair held in Collins Park, brought together 350 of Miami’s cultural and civic leaders to an imaginative setting. In addition to enjoying delicious food, cocktails, champagne and dancing, guests had the opportunity to bid on original works of contemporary art in a silent auction powered by Paddle8 throughout the evening. Featured auction items include works by Tracey Emin, Paola Pivi and Daniel Arsham. The highlight of The Bass Ball was the world premiere of new work by Athi-Patra Ruga, the South African performance artist who has captivated the imagination of the art world with his colorful portrayals of a utopian future. The evenings celebrations continued during the keep The Ball rolling after party where Mr Mauricio kept the music blasting until the early morning hours. The Bass Ball was chaired by Criselda Breene, Diane Lieberman, Soledad Pićon, Tui Pranich and Inés Rivero, and presenting sponsor was TOD’S with additional support from Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate and Coastal Construction.
