Q&A: French 27 Grand Opening
Miami Beach, FL – February 4, 2016 – French 27 celebrated their grand opening by giving guests a taste of the new restaurant while they partied the night away. With over 900 people in attendance, it was a night complete with Burlesque girls, an abundance of champagne and a huge 20ft Eiffel Tower on the roof. French 27 is a contemporary restaurant that strives to find the very best products on the market for cooking exceptional culinary creations. At French 27, key ingredients from the 27 regions of France are present in the menu, as well as a vast array of wines with an emphasis on the French regions, all of which will pair perfectly with the menu options.
World Red Eye caught up with owner David Krouham and chefs Andreas Trilk and Yann Rio, who gave us a closer look into what is making them the new talk of the town.
WRE: What drew you to South Beach to open French 27?
DK: South Beach was the perfect choice for this new venture. The vibe of the area matched perfectly with what we were going for and we knew that south of 5th could use a restaurant like ours.
WRE: Tell us the idea behind the name, French 27?
DK: The name French 27 reflects the regions in France.
WRE: What kind of vibe can guests expect at French 27?
DK: French 27 is a beautiful French contemporary restaurant. The restaurant is covered with fresh roses and candles every where you look, we want guests to get a sexy, chic vibe.
WRE: What is unique about French 27 that guests can’t experience anywhere else in Miami?
DK: French 27 is a unique concept and we feel that we are one of the best restaurants you can find in South Beach. From the food to the service to the ambiance, you can only get this elevated experience here at French 27.

DK: The cuisine is contemporary French. Guests can find typical French fare but with a modern twist.
WRE: How closely do you work with chefs Trilk & Yann to curate the menu? Who comes up with the dishes?
DK: Chef Trilk and Chef Yann are the masterminds behind this menu. I’ve allowed them to take control and curate our mazing menu and I trust their expertise.
WRE: What is unique about French 27 that guests can’t experience anywhere else in Miami?
AT: The quality and the freshness of our products. We get our food fresh daily and nothing here is ever frozen. You can taste the difference in our meals.
WRE: What are some “must-eat” dishes you would recommend?
YR: The Duck Confit, Loup de Mer, and Rib-eye.
WRE: What are you hoping French 27 will bring to Miami Beach?
DK: We wanted to bring Miami Beach a place where guests can come in and be sure that they are receiving the best meal possible. We import most of our produce, meats and seafood daily.
WRE: What are some “must-eat” dishes you would recommend?
DK: I would highly recommend the French Onion Soup, the recipe has been is Chef Trilk’s family for over three generations and it’s delicious! I would also say they must try the Short Rib.
