Miami Beach, FL – September 24, 2011 – Solé On the Ocean, an ultra-contemporary boutique hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, said “Aloha” to summer with Hawaiian-themed luau on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at its beachfront lounge Alba Mare. In the spirit of the islands, guests celebrated with traditional fare, live music and performances, paddle boarding, a limbo contest and a tropical swimwear presentation.

Hula girls and a fire dancer sparked the festivities with colorful performances, while the Aloha Boyz strummed their ukuleles and Dutch spun island beats. Party-goers sipped on Mai Tais and feasted on Hawaiian-inspired fare, including a fire-roasted pig with traditional trimmings.

Ark Paddleboards was onsite to offer both novice and experienced paddle boarders the chance to make waves on the ocean while a limbo contest was held beachside, the winner of which received a complimentary weekend stay at Solé On the Ocean. ‘Hula’ good times ensued with a fashion showcase by Poko Pano swimwear, which showcased its 2012 collection.

A portion of proceeds from sales benefited Plastics Free Ocean, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the risks of improper and excessive use of plastics to human health, wildlife and the environment.

Solé on the Ocean is a stylish beachfront oasis offering a catered experience to every guest. A retreat where comfort meets modern elegance, Solé boasts 249 rooms and suites, a state-of-the-art, full-service health club with spa services, a business center and a knowledgeable and attentive concierge staff.
