Parmigiani Fleurier Unveils “Fragments – Euphonic Soundscape” by Felice Limosani at Parmigiani Gallery
Miami, FL – November 30, 2015 – Parmigiani Fleurier unveiled the exclusive audio kinetic sculpture “Fragments – Euphonic Soundscape” created by Felice Limosani. The installation pays homage to the handcrafted timepieces that Parmigiani Fleurier has produced in its own Manufacture since 1996. Mr. Limosani took inspiration for his sound installation from a trip to the Parmigiani Manufacture in Fleurier Switzerland. He recorded the sounds of the artisans at work in their different environments and tried to recreate this ambiance in a constellation of sound fragments procuring intense emotion, like music. The installation includes four cone-shaped speakers that oscillate back and forth from the ceiling spreading a constant sound. In addition, twenty four individually motion activated speakers on the walls emit a unique sound when passed. Together, they compose a melody played in unison as a unique orchestra. “Fragments – Euphonic Soundscape” will be on display through December 11th at the Parmigiani Gallery.
