QVC’s Fashion’s Night Out

New York, NY – September 8, 2011 – It was a star-studded evening at 428 Broadway in Soho as multimedia retailer QVC celebrated New York’s Fashion’s Night Out with a red carpet party and showcase broadcast live from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Celebrities and designers who graced the red carpet included “I Don’t Know How She Does It“ star Sarah Jessica Parker and costar Olivia Munn, new QVC designers Kris Jenner, celebrity stylist Cristina Ehrlich, and jewelry designer Heidi Klum as well as the designers behind QVC’s bestselling lines–Melania Trump, Lori Goldstein, Marc Bouwer, and Dennis Basso, among many others.

Carrie Bradshaw enthusiasts snapped photos and cheered excitedly when Sarah Jessica Parker entered the party in a chic cocktail dress. Parker was thrilled to be a part of the event, too, saying she has always been a fan of QVC, and it was the one stop she was making on Fashion’s Night Out as she wanted to get home early to help her 8-year-old son James Wilkie get ready for his first day of school the next day. Other style-makers loving their time at the fashion fete included QVC designer Camila Alves and Julianne Hough, who donned Cristina Ehrlich’s CE by Cristina Ehrlich for QVC’s black lace jacket. “This jacket is my go-to for fall. You can dress it down with jeans or dress it up with black pants or a fitted skirt for a night out!” Hough said. “But I’d rather stay in any day…my favorite thing to do is to stay in and watch a movie with Ryan Seacrest,” she said about her beau.

One highlight of the evening for shoppers stopping by was Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour’s meet and greet where she graciously signed September issues of Vogue for a throng of admiring fans. Before she left, however, she made time to catch up with fellow fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker and congratulate her on her new film. The other star she had her eye on? Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade. “We’re the new Big Three! I’m trading in Lebron (James) and Chris (Bosh) for Anna and Sarah,” the pro athlete joked as he palled around backstage with Wintour and Parker.

Heidi Klum, who arrived in an all-black ensemble to debut her new WILDLIFE by Heidi Klum jewelry collection live on QVC, later changed into a dazzling silver gown to walk the carpet. “The girl who loves Wildlife by Heidi Klum is fashion-forward, glamorous, and knows how to have a good time,” she said. Meanwhile, celeb guests like Olivia Munn kept her Twitter followers in the loop on all of her trendy travails–”Fashion’s Night Out has left New York gridlocked. Just got out of a car and walked a mile in heels to make it to QVC’s live show. Just made it!–while QVC’s resident ‘Tweetheart’ Kathy Griffin hosted the event’s ‘Laura Geller Tweet Suite’ with makeup brand Laura Geller.
