Pomellato Hosts Cocktail Celebration Benefitting Miami Cardiac Vascular Institute at Baptist Health South Florida
Miami, FL – October 22, 2015 – Baptist Health South Florida and Pomellato celebrated Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, currently undergoing a $100 million expansion. Guests, who included notable philanthropists, fashion mavens and local socialites, were treated to a special reception at the private Coral Gables estate of Ray and Liana Welcoming guests were Brian E. Keeley, president and CEO of Baptist Health South Florida, and Lourdes Jofre-Collett, member of the Board of Directors of Baptist Health Foundation. Other notable attendees included Foundation Board member Karel Foti and fellow Board member Juan Antonio Michelena. But the biggest cause for celebration at the VIP event was the expansion of the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, scheduled for completion in 2016. The $100 million expansion on the Baptist Hospital campus will include groundbreaking new programs, such as the Center for Aneurysm Therapy – the first of its kind in the world – the Center for Advanced Endovascular Therapies, and the Center for Structural Heart Therapy. The expanded Institute will also include advanced procedure suites and a larger gallery where Baptist Health physicians can collaborate and teach the techniques they have pioneered to others from around the world.
