A Celebration of Wynwood’s Designation as one of the 2015 Great Places in America
Miami, FL – October 29, 2015 – Miami dignitaries and business leaders celebrated the designation of the Wynwood Arts District as one of the Great Neighborhoods in America by the American Planning Association (APA) with a soiree at one of the area’s hottest new restaurants. Recognized for its unique artistic and industrial vibe, Wynwood features galleries, museums, restaurants, retail and creative spaces—making it Miami’s center for art and innovation. The national designation was celebrated on Thursday, October 29, at trendy new indoor/outdoor Wynwood Diner, with a specially-made cocktail dubbed “The Wynwood” in honor of the occasion and delicious artisanal hors d’oeuvres. Attendees included City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, City Manager Daniel Alfonso, Wynwood Business Improvement District board members, property owners, and community leaders.
