Philodendron: From Pan-Latin Exotic to American Modern VIP Preview Reception at The Wolfsonian FIU
Miami Beach, FL – October 15, 2015 – Miamians enjoyed a VIP preview reception of Philodendron: From Pan-Latin Exotic to American Modern, The Wolfsonian’s fall exhibition exploring the cultural influence of Latin American plant life on art, design, film, and fashion. The invite-only event was an exciting sneak peek at this sprawling show—which features an indoor, pop-up jungle installation in The Wolf’s lobby—as well as the chance to speak one-on-one with the museums new director, Dr. Tim Rodgers, and the exhibition’s curator, Christian Larsen. Brazilian music by DJ Play My Song rounded out the evening’s theme, with delicious Bacardi signature drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres by Chef Thierry Isambert.
