PAMM Third Thursdays: Poplife Social featuring Chargaux & DJ Kumi Presented by The Rhythm Foundation
Miami, FL – October 15, 2015 – Miamians enjoyed an evening of art, music and celebration at the Pérez Art Museum Miami. The terrace was activated by a live performance by string duo Chargaux, with opening and closing sets by DJ Kumi, presented by The Rhythm Foundation. As the sun set, PAMM Contemporaries joined in the Contempo Lounge for complimentary drinks provided by Beck’s Urban Canvas. The evening also marked the opening of Firelei Báez: Bloodlines, an exhibition showcasing large-scale, labor-intensive works on paper that explore gender, race, culture and the idea of self in Caribbean diasporic communities. Guests gathered in the auditorium for an Art Talk between artist Firelei Báez and Assistant Curator María Elena Ortiz before heading into the gallery to get a first look at the exhibition.
