I can’t believe I’m watching the finale of this show which has been my guilty pleasure for the past 4 years. I remember watching an entire season of Laguna Beach in one day and running to tell my then friend (now wife) Melissa – “you have got to watch this “… We were hooked.

It was the time of Paris and Nicole, the birth of the frenemy, and when Young Hollywood ruled the party circuit. Soon, the girls were everywhere … All of them, all together, all of the time. From the MTV VMA’s, to Vegas nightclubs, to South Beach pool parties, The Hills cast was at every major hot event and they were stars.

It’s hard to believe those high school kids from Laguna created this phenomenon. They were the girls (and boys) next door and they made being famous look like so much fun. I’ve not only shot them all, but have become their friends, and will miss knowing who is dating Justin Bobby. There has been spin offs, clothing lines, books, and movies. The Hills has made its mark on pop culture and World Red Eye was there to capture it all.
