Miami Beach – As Miami grew up from a sleepy beach town to the major metropolis it is today, I watched the progression in awe. First there were the models, then we saw hotels, then there was high end real estate, shopping, and dining. In 2002, Art Basel descended on the city truly making Miami the international destination it is today. The one thing always missing, was a real fashion week. IMG finally gave us Mercedes-Benz Swim Week and our city was complete . Every summer, the fashion set takes over Miami in the sultriest month of the year and the fashion is fitting with the climate. The swimwear is hot and the models are hotter – it is the perfect backdrop for the quintessential Miami party. Although people have always stayed away from the tropical miami summers, “season” has become a thing of the past and the time to be in Miami is … ALWAYS. Celebrities, models, designers, and buyers from around the globe have flocked in July to Miami to celebrate the sexiest swimwear trends and party with as little clothes on as possible.  It’s HOT out there !!!  World Red Eye and the Mercedes Benz Fashion Force  (complete with Miami darlings Katrina Campins and DJ Irie ) will be out capturing everything that is sexy this week … Whether you’re on the run way or the beach, fashion will be everywhere, and we will be there to document it .
