Coconut Grove, FL – May 19, 2015 – Park Grove, along with Cultured Magazine, Terra Group, Related Group, J Nelson and Camper & Nicholsons Palm Beach hosted fifty guests, including family members from several of Florida’s most prominent early settlers and innovators: Collins, Deering, Lynch, Matheson, Widner –  for ‘A Historical Survey of Coconut Grove, 1825 to Present”. Sarah Harrelson, Cultured Magazine’s Founding Editor in Chief, welcomed Dr. Paul George, a cognoscente of Florida history. Dr. George gave an overview of the Grove’s thriving beginnings when the town of Miami was a mere crossroads. ‘Cocoanut Grove’ was Florida’s original bohemian and sailing community where the cultural arts and high society both thrived and co-existed with prominent American business figures of the day. The interior atmosphere for the evening was designed by John Hall Nelson with the latest from his European Furnishings Collections, which debuted the week prior at Maison&Objet Americas, all from his South Florida Design Park showroom, J Nelson. Park Grove is the latest from OMA and Rem Koolhaas. The striking  towers set a new architectural standard in the seaside enclave of Coconut Grove, and represent the communities most ambitious architecture to date  The evening was produced for Park Grove, Terra Group, Related by Michael Kirkland for MKarte.
