Miami Beach, FL – April 2-4, 2015 – The Longines Global Champions Tour’s U.S.A. leg came to an end with a tremendous finale and a huge win for World No.1 Scott Brash. The world’s foremost show-jumping event brought the top thirty globally ranked show jumpers to battle it out on Miami Beach for almost $1MM in prizes across five classes, including the world-renowned Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. In the end, the audience cheered on as Brash was victorious for the second night in a row on Miami Beach, galloping away with the inaugural Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach Grand Prix title aboard Hello Sanctos. This was the two-time Longines GCT Champ’s fifth Grand Prix win in the last three seasons as he continues to dominate the Tour in spectacular fashion. Bassem Hassan Mohammed (QAT) and his relatively new ride Palloubet D Halong put in the performance of their young partnership to take Silver, while 2014 Longines GCT of Shanghai Grand Prix winner Pieter Devos (BEL) and Candy finished with a Bronze medal. During the event, enthusiastic equestrian spectators lined the arena, taking in the incredible spectacle of World Champion riders and horses, show jumping on Miami Beach next to the waves. As tourists lounged and swam only a few feet away, the most famous riders in the world engaged in hot competition for the opening round of the 2015 season. Among the champions were  Georgina Bloomberg, Athina Onassis de Miranda, Edwina Tops-Alexander, Jessica Springsteen, and  Paige Johnson. From the VIP Lounge, Michael Bloomberg, Bruce Springsteen, HE Sheikh Joaan Al Thani, supermodel Elle Macpherson, and Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine watched world-class sport at it’s very best.  All were welcomed by Longines Global Champions Tour Founder and President Jan Tops, in a stunning full horsing arena by the ocean – produced by FUNKSHION and catered by Shiraz Events.
